I don’t have much to say today, I’m going out of town tomorrow… I’m not really that excited… but I’ll live…
I just wanted to show the treasury I made today!

Finally! I never ever get right on time to the treasuries, but tonight I did… It features rings from members of the
EtsyinSpanish team, really beautiful rings that I LOVE!

This is just a tiny update, I know there’s people waiting for the Shining Around cushion pattern to be published, so here’s the link to her pattern shop on Ravelry.
I’m not sure if the pattern is available for sale outside Ravelry, I’m sorry… but if there’s people interested I could find out with Talitha…
Also, if any no-knitter is interested, in any way :-p, in a sock monkey cup cozy you can find them for sale on my
Etsy and my
ArtFire stores… (If you don’t want to create an account to make your purchase, I’d recommend ArtFire, if your country is not listed you can email me to add it and then you can make the purchase via paypal)

I just opened a shop on ArtFire, things on Etsy have been really slow, I still love it with a love that is more than love :-p but the truth is it’s quite discouraging when I see no change, no matter how hard I work…
Maybe ArtFire won’t be the right way to go, but I think it deserves a try…
At the moment it’s making me happy :-p I’m currently on the front page, which is definetly a good way to make me very happy!
So if you want to check the ArtFire shop you can go to http://thingies.artfire.com (Yes! I got the name I wanted!!

)
On other news, I just want to let everyone interested in the Sock Monkey Cozy pattern that I will finish it tonight!

This is really exciting! And I can’t wait to share it with all of you… Let me just warn you, that this is my
first pattern and it might be a bit messy. I changed a few things to make it all knitting, because the crocheted details (ears and lips) were impossible to explain.
I’ll be posting it tomorrow, so stay tuned! If you want the latest info you can
follow me on twitter!

I was really bored last night… when I should have been working in something else :-p and for some reason I decided to check if any of my Etsy things had been featured on a treasury or something like that…
So I went to Craftopolis, which I discovered last week. It’s a great tool, you just add your Etsy username and it will show you if you have been featured on a gift list or on a treasury. And amazingly enough, I was in one!!!
I freaked out for a second, then calmed down a bit… :-p and started looking for a way to create a print screen of the page, because I did want proof of it for posterity :-p
Take a look ( I’m the very first one, Dewdrops
) :

It will expire in about a day, so if you want to see it in all its glory you can click on the photo or go here soon. A huge thank you to Zia Zia for adding me!
ETA. Oh, in case you were wondering what I used to make the print screen you can go to Thumbalizr, I found no way to get the part of the screen the monitor wasn’t showing just clicking print screen in my keyboard, so I did a bit of research and it worked great… Just in case you ever need it…

Ok, yes, I love Etsy! With a love that is more than love! :-p
I’ve made 4 sales since October(ok, not that good… but could be worse) and I’ve done lots of window shopping… Too much to be good for me… My favorites list is just too big!
But lately I’ve been using other features and I love it even more… I’ve made a couple of treasuries, they are great!!!
And I would love to make a million more if it wasn’t so damn hard to get one in the first place…
But one of the things I really love, is the Virtual Labs! Chats, workshops, Shop critiques and even concerts and in such amazing places!
I attended the critiques today, didn’t get one but I stayed afterwards chatting with a guy that sells buttons and magnets (RyanPlz)…. God, I think we played with every thing you can use in the rooms! We jumped from seat to seat, spinned like crazy, spanked forgotten avatars and were attacked by the gigantic drooling smiley… so much fun!
Etsy, for me, is not only great because of the posibility of selling handmade thingies online but also because of their great interest in the sellers…
The Storque is a huge Etsy Database and you find so many interesting things there to help you be a better seller and the labs are just amazing! Etsy is, by far, the best handmade marketplace there is…
So, you knitters, crocheters, beaders, jewelerers, artists, even Sharpie doodlers(*) give you craft a chance!
(*)Yes, sharpie doodlers! If you don’t believe me check out Rosie O’Donnell’s Etsy Shop (Yes, THE Rosie O’Donnell). She sells doodled Munnys and the proceeds go to “Rosie’s Broadway Kids“

I´m convinced that going to the
WebConf Latino 08 was a huge hit…and also it brings lots of problems…
Well, one problem… that will, most definitively, unravel in many many more…
The desperate need to do things! I want to do everything!! I´m not a designer, but I do have my teeny tiny blog with its teeny tiny shop in some, nearly,
undisclosed location.
And I have millions of ideas for possible blogs that, I think, might actually be more interesting or attractive than The Purple Blug(TPB)… And now I want to develop them all at the same time! :-p
Also, TPB has to change… The sidebar is a major mess! And no matter what I remove it still looks cluttered… And come on! I know the color isn´t the most pleasant to watch for a long time… It worked eight months ago when I was just playing with blogger and photoshop…
I still am, but even I know it needs some freshen up…
Most of the things I´ve done have been a huge trial-and-error thing, as it tends to be with most things I do and I´m pleased with the results so far, but I want to make it in a bigger scale… Probably moving the blog to its own hosting(Or Luis’ in this case), and blogging in a less messy way… actually getting traffic because of relevant things, not just the sponsored post about Virtual Closet, that keeps bringing me lots of visits…
Changes are afoot… Big ones, little ones and new roads will be finally taken… (Uhhhh, I know… deep… :-p)

I gotta be honest, I should be ashamed of myself… 50?! I could have many more… and not silly posts but decent ones, with interesting things… But I’m so lazy… I don’t even have a good excuse… ok, maybe I do have an excuse for a week when I was feeling like crap… but that’s only one week…The rest is laziness at its best… And what brings me here today, you may be asking yourself… Well, I was sitting in front of the computer just pushing F5 every couple of minutes at Facebook and Ravelry and thought “Don’t you have more interesting things to do that refresh a page just to see if something ever happens?”So, here I am!I think it’s hard not to go through these dry spots when you don’t have the will to write on your blog… is not that you don’t like it, or that you got tired of it… it’s just that you forget why you started blogging in the first place…I started because I wanted to have somewhere to vent from time to time, practice my english, or talk about stuff that I cared about… and, why not? Make some money…Venting? Yes, there’s been some of that…. (Here)English? Oh, come on!Stuff I care about? All over the place!Money? I’ve done quite well actually… I’ve earned over $100 in 8 months and 49 posts! That’s good for me! And quite a way of proving me that you CAN make money blogging…I think the whole store business exhausted me a little… All the photo taking and the setting the store up was far more difficult that the blog was when I started… specially when I made my first sale… everything seemed to be going out of hand… The whole getting paid and having to deal with revised invoices on remote control was awful… but I haven’t made any more sales soooo everything is at peace at the moment… and, thanks God, my customer was extremely patient and never complained…
ETA. I had to leave for school when I was first writing this… and now when I´m finally publishing this, I checked if it was really post 50 and guess what? It isn´t!!! It´s #48… But since I´m determined to blog more I will not erase it… Even if it´s not quite accurate…
By the way, the giveaway is a bit on hold as it needs to be made more seriously… and not in a rush like the last one… (Sorry Marito… I´ll buy u a Donut to make it up and let you know when I finally do it for real)
