This is just a tiny update, I know there’s people waiting for the Shining Around cushion pattern to be published, so here’s the link to her pattern shop on Ravelry.
I’m not sure if the pattern is available for sale outside Ravelry, I’m sorry… but if there’s people interested I could find out with Talitha…
Also, if any no-knitter is interested, in any way :-p, in a sock monkey cup cozy you can find them for sale on my
Etsy and my
ArtFire stores… (If you don’t want to create an account to make your purchase, I’d recommend ArtFire, if your country is not listed you can email me to add it and then you can make the purchase via paypal)

I offered to help test another pattern on Ravelry last week, an Sea Horse amigurumi, but I totally forgot about it since I spent all week working on my cup cozy pattern…
To be honest, I never expected my pattern to be so much work… I had to change the sock monkey’s lips and ears from crocheting to knitting and then reknit it to see if everything was fine and then creating the pdf, I totally lost track of time on saturday and went to bed at 5 am just to find out that the pattern that I uploaded to Ravelry was huge and took hours to download :-p
So I remembered about the amigurumi I had to crochet until saturday, the day I was supposed to contact the designer :-p
So I got to work at full speed and crocheted almost all of it in a few hours, it wasn’t really that hard, but crochet is not my thing… and amigurumis are annoying with all the tiny pieces… so I finished it until sunday, after emailing the designer, all I had left to do were a few details and the photos… Sea horsey came out really cute, and was inmediatly kidnapped by my cousin, right after I took the photos, and now responds to another name

I just opened a shop on ArtFire, things on Etsy have been really slow, I still love it with a love that is more than love :-p but the truth is it’s quite discouraging when I see no change, no matter how hard I work…
Maybe ArtFire won’t be the right way to go, but I think it deserves a try…
At the moment it’s making me happy :-p I’m currently on the front page, which is definetly a good way to make me very happy!
So if you want to check the ArtFire shop you can go to http://thingies.artfire.com (Yes! I got the name I wanted!!

)
On other news, I just want to let everyone interested in the Sock Monkey Cozy pattern that I will finish it tonight!

This is really exciting! And I can’t wait to share it with all of you… Let me just warn you, that this is my
first pattern and it might be a bit messy. I changed a few things to make it all knitting, because the crocheted details (ears and lips) were impossible to explain.
I’ll be posting it tomorrow, so stay tuned! If you want the latest info you can
follow me on twitter!

Yup, I made it into another treasury!
Twice in two weeks! Etsy is becoming more exciting every day… The treasury expired yesterday and I totally forgot to post it here, but here´s a screenshot
it was Lupitita, a teeny tiny Virgen de Guadalupe cellphone thingie…
This week I also decided to go back to craftster… It´s been o
ver a year since I´ve logged in there and I really missed it… I left a few swaps hanging and I have 3 negatives in my feedback and now I´m trying to fix that. I was advised to send three packages as an angel or as a part of a swap that has been made for people with negatives on their profile…

I found a lot of people requesting stuff that I can send I just have to decide exactly what I´ll send and to whom, but in one of the lists I found someone requesting a crocheted Sock Monkey Coffee Cup Cozy… after a bit of analysis I figured I could try and knit one, just to see if I could make it work and then make one to send on the swap…
I made it without a pattern and in a couple of hours… I´m so proud! He´s so cute! Judge for yourself…. Let me know what you think…

After much procrastination I finally added new things to my Etsy store!!
I´ve been doing it since last weekend, but I wanted to add a resonable amount of new things before actually posting it here, though twitter has been abused by these updates :-p
I still have a few things left and I want to take new photos to the old things… The new ones are so pretty… If you don´t mind me saying so :-p

Last week was pretty uneventful and there wasn’t much to report, so I just didn’t :-p
But then on tuesday, my friend Angel asked me to help him to make a mode of an egyptian house… with polymer clay! :-p
Yup, I was sold the moment he mentioned the clay.
I thought it was going to be fairly easy, since I do play a lot with clay… but it took us a while to get actually started… First the store (yup, the one that I found on my birthday) was closed and we had to wait. Then, my car decided to get sick that day :-p so I had to take it to the shop and when we got home after we had lunch we had to condition the clay…. damn, that was hard… not that I did that, but poor Angel…
He bought 4 packs of clay and he spent hours conditionioning it while I made dessert for dinner (it was father’s day here that day), but when I got finished with dessert everything was ready to start working… I don’t own a pasta machine or anything to roll the clay and given the fact that we had to roll large amounts of clay I ended up using a huge bottle of heineken as a roller (from my brothers’ collection of empty bottles :-p)
All in all, it was lots of fun!

Angel had a blast mixing different colors, when he found out what happened when he did that he couldn’t stop. We had two different mixes and only the floor ended up being of one color… It took a very long time to “finish” but it came out quite close to what he wanted, I know he added stuff to it in his house but the harder work was done when he left… (I hope :-p)
Here are some pics of our day… not of the finished thing, because they were so hard to take, they were useless…

I was really bored last night… when I should have been working in something else :-p and for some reason I decided to check if any of my Etsy things had been featured on a treasury or something like that…
So I went to Craftopolis, which I discovered last week. It’s a great tool, you just add your Etsy username and it will show you if you have been featured on a gift list or on a treasury. And amazingly enough, I was in one!!!
I freaked out for a second, then calmed down a bit… :-p and started looking for a way to create a print screen of the page, because I did want proof of it for posterity :-p
Take a look ( I’m the very first one, Dewdrops
) :

It will expire in about a day, so if you want to see it in all its glory you can click on the photo or go here soon. A huge thank you to Zia Zia for adding me!
ETA. Oh, in case you were wondering what I used to make the print screen you can go to Thumbalizr, I found no way to get the part of the screen the monitor wasn’t showing just clicking print screen in my keyboard, so I did a bit of research and it worked great… Just in case you ever need it…
